TESTIMONY:
My Journey of Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I was born-again as a teenager over forty-six years ago by the power of the Holy Spirit when I accepted that Jesus Christ was Lord and repented of my sins. My life was transformed from one of despair and hopelessness to one of peace, hope and purpose. I continued to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, obeying the teachings of the Bible. My journey of faith has been long and difficult at times as I encountered may obstacles and challenges along the way. The devil tried to hinder me from serving the Lord Jesus Christ. I overcame each one of them. I learnt to trust the leading of the Holy Spirit and the word. Through it all I endeavored to find and fulfill God's purpose for my life.
GOD LED ME EACH STEP OF THE WAY:
In my marriage:
On day while I was sleeping, God gave me a dream. (Not all dreams are from God) The Holy Spirit revealed to me that the dream was about marriage and that God would select the person who I should marry. I put it out of my mind.
However, God began to change events in my life to bring about His purpose for my marriage.
God opened the door for me to obtain a job in the public sector as a clerk. After, working there two years, God then led me to apply for a job as a scientific Assistant. When my new appointment letter came it was left on a supervisor desk until they returned from vacation. Therefore, when I I received the letter there was only 1-2 weeks left on that appointment. I did not know what to do but was led by the Holy Spirit to go the Service Commission and enquire from them. They decided to give me a new appointment in a vacant position at another ministry. This set back was the hand of God, changing an appointment to get me to the place where I would meet my future husband. At time I did not know it. But on looking back at the events, I came to realize that God had orchestrated the circumstances to achieve His purpose for my life. It is important as believers that we trust God even in negative circumstances.
One day, I invited my co-worker to a special nightly meeting at my church. He came and when the guest speaker asked if anyone would like to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, my co-worker hands went up. Immediately, I heard the audible voice of the Holy Spirit say to me "That is the man you are going to marry." Needless to say, I was shocked. Marriage to the individual was the furthest thing from my mind, although he was a very nice person. But I left the matter in God's hand. I did not tell my co-worker what God had told me. However, when I almost died, he was the person that God used to take me to his doctor and to the hospital for emergency surgery. He saved my life. Again, God was using events to bring His purpose to pass for my life. One year later we were married. I had thirty-six years of successful marriage, and we became involved in various Christian ministries, serving the Lord together. He is now deceased.
To select the right career path:
One day I saw an advertisement for training in Environmental Health. I threw it in the dustbin as I had decided that it was not for me. For some reason I took it out of the bin and decided to ask my husband if I should apply. He told me that he thought that I should. My application was successful, and I began my training. During my training I still wondered if I should change programs but again the program coordinator, a Christian Minister assured me that I would make a good public health Inspector. I graduated at the top of my class. I was employed as a Public Health Inspector and began my career. I retired in a senior position having received two promotions although the enemy tried to prevent me from getting the promotions. God was with me and had directed and led me to this career path altering events to accomplish His purpose in my life although I did not recognize it at the time. It was only years later that on reflection, I remembered that God had revealed His plan for me to become a public health Inspector, but I had not recognized His voice at the time. It happened one day before I had applied to be trained, as I was on the bus passing the Mt Hope Complex, the audible voice of God had said to me, "You would be studying there." God was referring to the Mt Hope Complex that I was passing at the time. Maybe like me God has been speaking to you, but you have not recognized His voice or maybe you knew it was God but chose to ignore Him because you did not agree with His leading and now you are living with the regret. But God is faithful, if you repent and choose to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit and the word, God is still available to guide you.

God has led me in many different ways through the still small voice of the Holy Spirit, circumstances, the word, prophecy, dreams, other believers, and through open doors in my journey of faith for the pass forty-six years and He is still continuing to lead me along the right path. Sometimes I make a wrong turn, but the Holy Spirit was always there leading me back onto the right path. He would do the same for you, if you learn to trust Him.

I don't know who I am writing to, but God knows who you are. He knows your present circumstances and your struggles as you try to discern His purpose and will for your life. Once your heart is in the right place, although you may not understand the way that God is leading, He is there with you.
Isaiah 30:21 states Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it." Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

Psalm 37: 23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. And He delights in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds His hand.

My friend in my journey of faith these forty-six years, God has never forced me to obey His guidance. It is only the devil who tries to force us through fear and intimidation to obey him. Fear is never of God. If you are feeling pressured to do something or go against the teachings of the word, ignore and rebuke it. You can be assured that the leading is not of God. The Holy Spirit leads us gently. Also, beware, no prophet or man of God has the right to tell you what to do with your life, although they can be used by God at times to confirm what God has been saying to you. You alone are responsible before God for the decisions and choices that you make. You would not be able to blame anyone.

If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then He would not be able to guide you. You must surrender your life to Him. You would be born-again by the Holy Spirit and your life would be transformed. Your journey of faith in Christ would then begin.
May the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always as you journey along life's path!
